Bridge Walk

Inspired by this photo taken by Dave Bullock (aka eecue) and my own desire to get up close and personal with a few of the bridges over the Los Angeles River, on Sunday April 29th I will be leading the Bridge Walk. Joining me will be noted urban anthropologist and neon tour king, Eric Lynxwiler.

Starting at the strike of noon from the backside of Union Station, Patsouras Plaza to be exact, the route will follow a meandering path on major streets on both sides of the river and include the following bridges: Cesar Chavez, 1st Street, 4th Street, 6th Street, 7th Street and Olympic. We will hopefully end the walk at Royal Claytons for nourishment and refreshing beverages, barring any unforeseen closures due to filming. Final transportation back to the original starting point will be determined on an individual basis. A complete route map can be viewed here (ignore the red dots)…and although it may look confusing, in real life it makes much more sense. The entire walk is about 7 miles, give or take 1/10th of a mile.

I'm praying for a major rainstorm the day before so that the view from the picture above is replicated. Eh, a girl can dream can't she? Please either leave a comment below or email me if you are interested in joining so I have an idea of who to expect.
