This is my absolute favorite time of year kids.....Halloween!! It's a time when I can dress up in one of my many creative "M" costumes. In the past I have been: Medusa, Magenta, Minnie Mouse & Mother Nature. This year I am reviving my Magenta outfit. For those not in the know, Magenta is one of the Domestics from Rocky Horror Picture Show. This is the best one to date I'd have to say. I shall post some pictures after this weekend's festivities. Maybe a little compare and contrast the real thing to my final creation.

I have included a picture of my group effort from about 2 years ago. We (me, Chuckles and Aaron) were the Addams family sans Gomez. So much fun doing the group thing. I just wish I could have found a Columbia and a Riff Raff for this year but alas, no such luck.

Love Bites Harder, ain't it the truth. And actually that's the name of my next show. It runs for 4 Tuesdays (starting tonight) and runs until November 16. Come see it. It's a compilation of 5 shorts plays running about 15 minutes each all with the same underlying theme....hence the name of the night....Love Bites Harder (v.1). There are a collection of shorts on Wednesday nights (v.2) as well with a more dramatic tone to them. My night (Tuesday) is more drama with a splash of comedy thrown in for good measure. You get one night for $10 or both for $15. Come support live theatre.

Why is it that I give myself a hard time when I neglect my blog for too long? I feel like the few readers I have managed to attain are bored out of their minds waiting for me to spew the gospel once a week. No more fretting on my part, I will simply do as I wish and hope for your un-yielding support.

The new show that I'm doing, Heart of a Dog (see below), just got some nice reviews in from Backstage West and the Los Angeles Times. If you're interested in seeing it then there are numerous ways to get around the $25 price. Busy weekend for me. Leading a Historic Core Tour tomorrow morning then it's off to the theatre to tech my next show that's opening Tuesday of next week. Yet another weekend spent in a dark theatre, no wonder I'm so pasty white and don't have a social life.

Grand Avenue Festival

Seeing as how I have appointed myself the Queen of all things Downtown I feel compelled to tell everyone what I will be doing this coming Sunday October 17th. I will be attending the Grand Avenue Festival. The festival's main purpose is to attract as many Angelenos as possible to come and explore Downtown. heart of a dog

Yes, I know I've been a bad girl by not posting as much as SOME of you would like (you know who you are) but I have little to be inspired about these days. I blame it on the illness, although that excuse isn't gonna hold it's own very much longer.

Now I can blame it on the next show I'm doing, Heart of a Dog. This weekend and every evening next week will be spent in a dark theatre. We open Friday October 15th and run for 6 weeks at The Lillian Theatre in Hollywood. Come check it out.

no faith

Yes kids it's true. I have absolutely no faith in The Dodgers being able to get out of the first round of the playoffs. I do however hope I am wrong. Only time will tell.

can i get a cup of coffee with my Grand Slam?

Maybe I should bitch about the Dodgers more often.

Saturday was the single greatest come-from-behind victory in the Dodgers storied history. So glad that I was able to listen to the final inning. When they announced Steve Finley stepping up to bat I knew if anyone could do it, he could. The will of the 56,000+ people at Dodger Stadium helped lift that ball the extra few inches it needed to make it the sweetest Grand Slam ever.

Go Dodger Blue!

When you're sick do you ever have that question "Just how much mucous can come outta my head?" Well, during my recent bout with a sinus infection I had that very question and went to the internet to get an answer.

Here it is: The glands in your nose and throat continually produce mucus (one to two quarts a day).

Damn. No wonder one small little box of tissues is never enough.
