So I think most everyone who knows me knows that I am a swing dancer. That being said there is this odd little phenonemon in the swing dance world known as Exchanges. The concept is that each city where there is a somewhat large dancing contingent invites all dancers from around the country/world to come to their city during a particular weekend to see what it's like to dance there. Combining this and various Dance "Camps", I've been to numerous cities over the past few years - DC, Seattle, Minneapolis, Las Vegas.This coming weekend is the Los Angeles Lindy Exchange...otherwise known as The Binge. It's funny, I absolutely love going to other cities for their exchanges but hate attending our events. I guess it's the fact that it's Los Angeles in the winter so EVERYONE wants to come here, hence it's usually really crowded and hot and steamy in the venues.
With no dancing on the schedule this weekend I'll be running my show and drinking afterwards...anyone wanna join me?
