dancing and drinking

Seems as if recently I have no new and interesting news to report on the happenings in this great city. I hope that will change in the coming weeks. I could re-hash all the old subjects in previous posts: HELLCAB extending, DCBID's Loft Open House, etc. but that would just bore everyone to tears. So instead I will leave you with a personal reflection.

Last night I had my first really good night of dancing in a few weeks. It was a special celebration complete with lots of good friends. Lindygroove is the venue that I normally attend when I have no other commitments on Thursday evenings. Recently I've not been able to attend due to HELLCAB so last night was the first outing in about a month and a half. I usually start off the night by traipsing across the street, with a friend in tow, to the Hilton Hotel Lobby bar and downing a "warm-up" Cosmopolitan poured by my bartender friend, Rey (bartender friends are good people to know and you should always tip them well). Then I go back and dance, dance, dance the night away. Well, last night was a special night so I made 2 trips to see Rey and that accounted for a particularly good night of dancing. Good dancing nights always make me feel like a Princess. Many thanks to all the leads last night who made me feel so special.
