This weekend is the big Loft Open House that I mentioned a few posts back. I'll be snooping around all the new loft development on Saturday and report back with my reviews next week.
Saw lots of theatre in LA last weekend. Like a Dog on Linoleum, a one man show performed by Leslie Jordan, was amazing. Simply amazing. It originally played in the Elephant Asylum in September for a 6 week run and has been extended 3 times. Last weekend was their official closing however it will be coming back for a few more performances the first weekend of March. Here is a review if anyone is interested in reading more about it. I know some people are wary of reading too much about a show before they see it so look if you wish (Lisa).
I also saw Edward Albee's The Goat, or Who is Sylvia at the Mark Taper Forum on Sunday. It's received wonderful reviews however I wasn't in the right frame of mind when I went and ended up not liking it as much as others. Fine performances by all involved, me thinks I had a problem with the writing. Either that or it was just a bad case of the PMS. If you end up seeing the show please share your thoughts with me as I'd like to discuss this further.
Hmm, I do believe that is all for now. Ta-Ta.
