I know, I hear a collective "Yuk" from a lot of you right now but believe me, when Tofu is done right it can be damn tasty. Yes, there were a few dishes that I had to go "hmmm, not for me" but there were many more that I said "can I get that recipe?" The Tofu Tostadas come to mind as mouth wateringly good and very easy to prepare.
I went by myself last year and had a blast walking around, nibbling on various foods. Might I suggest, if you go, take a walk around the entire place and look at all the food choices first, then eat away! There's also live entertainment and a vendor's marketplace. Lots of fun for the entire family! And don't worry, I'll plug this event again, closer to the date.
GO!
THANK YOU SHANNON!! I'm one of the coordinators of the Tofu Festival and it's so nice to hear great things like that about our event. I'm so glad you enjoy it. This year, we will be having a beer garden with sake and wine tasting as well as a jazz concert on Saturday night. New for this year will also be a "Taste of Japan" area serving up a bunch of traditional Japanese cuisines. Hope you and your friends can make it!
