Just stopped off at the video store to pick up a movie. On the way out I nodded at the resident homeless man who makes that section of sidewalk his own. When I got in my car I remembered I had a good amount of leftover Turkey Day dinner from the restaurant I had just eaten at. I grabbed the container, walked up to him and offered, "do you want some turkey dinner?" Him: "Turkey? Yes, thank you so much." Me: "Happy Thanksgiving."
That's not the first time I've had that type of encounter on Thanksgiving. Leftovers would have been nice, but I don't need them.
I hope to continue my giving ways tomorrow morning, looking something like this:
Apheresis.

Hey Shan! Happy belated Thanksgiving! That's one of my favorite things to do to help out .. food to the homeless. This year I was in NY and didn't have the opportunity but I quite frequently do when walking back and forth on the promenade :)
Hope the Aphresis goes well - you are so awesome for being committed to saving lives!
