8th Street Walk postponed

I’m going to postpone my 8th Street Walk for one month due to a cold that I got last week which is still lingering.  It seems to have settled in my chest over the past 24 hours. 

I did a walking tour this morning, which probably wasn't the best decision on my part, and being outside in the cold and wind didn't help things out.

I have emailed all the people who had personally confirmed attendance; if you never  contacted me and were "on the fence" then I hope you get this update in time.

Thanks for understanding.  Weather (and health) permitting we will go on March 15th!!

rain rain go away, come back another sunday

For all those naysayers out there who actually believe the weater reports a week in advance of the actual day in question, I give you this:

Earlier in the week the weather reports called for rain on this coming Sunday, seriously threatening my plans for the 8th Street Walk, however the powers that be are now saying it will be "more clouds than sun."

So all systems are still "go."  If you are interested in joining me for an exploration of 8th Street please meet me at the corner of 8th and Flower in Downtown Los Angeles at NOON on Sunday February 15th.  Please refer to the above link if you need more info or just email me!

In the off chance that it does end up raining this Sunday, and I mean torrential downpour, then I will re-schedule for another Sunday in March...but let's keep happy thoughts for this Sunday in the meantime!

Now that the technical stuff is out of the way, here's the personal plea for patronage. (assuming you make it all the way to the end of this post)

 

Love Bites is a collection of short plays written by company members, directed by company members and of course performed by company members.  As the name states, this year we present Volume 8, meaning there have been 7 other incarnations of Love Bites.  What started many years ago as a random One Act Festival has blossomed into this lovely vehicle for emerging company playwrights and directors.  It has also become a fundraiser for our company.  Please join us for a fun evening of quality theatre at an affordable price.  The show runs for a month, February 14th - March 14th, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm sharp.  We sincerely hope you will join us for "an evening of not so romantic shorts & dysfunctional comedies."
